My first successful forward gliding paper autogyro, first flew on February 12, 1985. Gyroscopic coupling complicated turns, causing it to pull out or spiral in if not flown carefully. I also made one with a straightened paper clip axle, which worked but had more friction than a stick pin, and tended to bend on hard landings. The H-2 was followed by the H-3 which tested a larger rotor. The H-3 was made with a soda straw body to save time.
