I decided to turn Richard Neu’s autogyro into the seemingly impossible paper aircraft people dreamed of: a forward gliding craft lifted by blades spinning above a fuselage. After some R&D, I ended up with this design, which is the World’s first known published forward gliding autogyro made entirely from paper, cardstock and tape. I entered a military and airliner version. The military version was recognized with an honorable mention, just like its vertically descending predecessor.
