I set a Guinness World Record for Distance on March 28, 1985, with my X-21Bmk-4. The mk-4 was a scaled up version of my 1976 X-21A fighter, which was a lightweight notebook paper airplane designed to combine tight turns and aerobatics with distance. My record appeared in the British hardback Edition, but not the US Edition, because it was beaten by Tony Felch with a Spear Dart in May 1985. I prepared to retake the record with a much better flying design in 1986, but needed a bigger building, then met my wife and took a few years off from paper aviation. When I inquired again, the rules no longer allowed non-traditional designs.

Is this jetplane shaped one is the record one?
I wonder if the rule is not revised how far record might be achieved worldwide.
maybe 100m?
Yes, that is the record setting airplane. With the right design, I think 100m would be achievable under the old rules, with a craft that actually flies, not just something thrown like a spear.
