X-14AS

The X-14A wings were cut off and rejoined with a center layer fitted with a staple pivot and lock system. The wing could be locked into 4 swing angles. Distance and hang time increased in the straight wing configuration. This would be the basis of much better designs to come. Published April 20, 1978 along with several other swing wing designs in the Sedgwick County News Sentinel.
